An internship with Nexus provides valuable real-life experiences through a variety of hands-on opportunities working within the cooperative industry. The goal of these experiences is to help individuals prepare for a career.
STUDENTS, START YOUR CAREER THE NEXUS WAY, WHERE KNOWLEDGE MEETS EXPERIENCE
Nexus offers college students internships in the following areas: Agronomy Sales, Agronomy Applications, Feed Sales, and Grain Origination as well as administrative fields of Accounting, Marketing & Human Resources. As part of the internship program, students are expected to learn about the cooperative business, develop skills in their designated position, and interact with people in the agricultural industry and the community. The student internship program kicks off in late May and continues throughout the summer until it wraps up in August.

We have partnered with Northeast Iowa Community College to get you skilled for our in-demand agronomy careers. Through our Earn and Learn Program, you’ll gain critical on-the-job skills at the co-op while developing the essential classroom knowledge required to grow and succeed in the agriculture industry. Best of all, your tuition is paid for while you get paid. We call that a win win!

At Nexus, we think it’s vital to invest in the future. And there is no better way to do that then through of
the young people within the communities we serve. We hope that our scholarships will ease the cost of
covering college expenses and allow students to focus on what really matters, doing well in their
programs of study.
If you are a graduating high school senior and are planning to attend a two – or four – year college, we
encourage you to apply for the Nexus Ag Youth Scholarship worth $1,000. Five of these scholarships will
be given away every year.

Student Eligibility
High school senior, graduating in the spring.
Legal U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
The student, parents or grandparents of the student must be a patron member of Nexus.
