Job Brief

The NAPA Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the activities of the overall function of the site.  The team leader will oversee coaching of associates that will be responsible for selling products.

Leadership:

  1. Promote an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the mission and core values of Nexus, and Napa Auto Parts.
  2. Role models the values of Nexus, and Napa Auto Parts
  3. Holds themselves and team accountability.
  4. Actively engages their team.
  5. Creates key performance indicators and metrics for the team.  Communicates the metrics and ensures each team member knows their role in achieving the metrics.   Share results with the team.
  6. Consistently provides feedback to employees, coaches on a daily basis.
  7. Celebrates wins and recognizes others.
  8. Addresses performance issues in a timely and consistent manner.
  9. Leads change, shares the way, explains the why and the impact, is transparent.
  10. Creates opportunities for the team to collaborate.
  11. Creates opportunities for team members to develop.
  12. Empowers others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manages sales associates and ensures they comply with company guidelines particularly related to quality of service.
  2. Monitors or reviews interactions between sales associates and customers while serving as working manager.
  3. Ensures that sales associates are informed about changes to company products and services.
  4. Collects data and prepares reports on customer complaints and inquiries.
  5. Prepares monthly reports summarizing the seed associates performance.
  6. Identifies opportunities to update or improve customer service procedures and makes recommendations.
  7. Monitor, Maintain, Manages inventory thru reclassification.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience
  • Two years or more of related supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts/industry.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
